  • I consider myself to be a very fortunate individual, in many ways. One of these is the divine guidance in my youth that directed me to the profession of Chiropractic at 19 years old. Now, many decades later, I am just as excited about this wonderful profession as I was the day I received my acceptance letter to Palmer Chiropractic College in 1974.

I grew up in Vancouver and attended Hudson Bay High School. After high school, I played 1 year of college football in Yakima, Washington, then returned home and attended Clark College. It was there that I met my soulmate, Sue, who had just graduated from Camas High School. Since our marriage in 1976, we have been blessed with 2 wonderful boys, Slade and Zane.

After receiving my degree from Clark College and Sue receiving her degree in Dental Hygiene, it was off to Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. I graduated in 1978 with a BS and Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After that, Sue and I returned to Vancouver. On December 4, 1978 I established Nu-Life Chiropractic Center in Battle Ground, Washington. In December 2018, I sold the Nu-Life Center and moved to practice in Vancouver, Washington. Now, as Norris Healthcare, I continue to see patients daily.

As a former athlete and bodybuilder, my practice was originally geared toward exercise and athletes. Over time I developed a sports based practice which continued for many years. Both of my sons grew up playing all sports and suffered many of the injuries that go with that, which kept me very busy. Both played football at Oregon State University where I treated many of the athletes there. Slade, my oldest son, went on to play professional football where I had the opportunity to work on many professional athletes. As my sons’ sports careers wound down, I began to develop a more Holistic approach to my practice.

I continued to pursue studies in Nutritional Evaluations and treatment, Neuro-emotional Treatments, Laser Acupuncture, Biomagnetic Pair Therapy and Energetic Healing. As my perspective expanded, I began to see people for much more than just back pain. Recently, to my great joy, my oldest Slade has joined my office as a Bionetic Naturopathic Counselor specializing in Bionetic evaluation and therapy. This adds a whole new dimension and concept to my Applied Kinesiology health scans and energetic healing.

Currently I use a multitude of techniques and healing modalities. Over the last four decades, I have expanded my approach to your health using the following:

    • Palmer Chiropractic adjustive techniques including toggle recoil/atlas specific

    • KST - Koren Specific Technique

    • Arthrostim adjusting device and activator for non-force spinal rebalancing

    • Thompson drop table

    • Applied Kinesiology evaluation and rebalancing

    • Five elements rebalancing of Acupuncture meridians and muscle imbalances

    • CRA and NRT nutritional evaluation techniques NET (Neuro-emotional Technique)

    • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

    • Biomagnetic Neuropsychology

    • Biomagnetic Pair Therapy

My main hobby is traveling. As a family, we frequently go to Mexico with Puerto Vallarta being our designated “home away from home”, but we all enjoy just seeing and experiencing the world.

  • Growing up in Battle Ground, WA I learned to love the outdoors at a young age. Whether it was playing sports or swimming in the Lewis River, outside is where you would usually find me. This love of the outdoors led me to year round sports which I continued at Jesuit High School in Portland as a 3 sport athlete. A successful football career in high school led me to Oregon State where I earned all Pac-12 Honors as a Defensive End eventually being drafted in the 4th round to the Oakland Raiders.

After spending four years in the NFL, it was time for me to discover my next chapter. I opened a small dance studio for the youth of the area, but football called to me again through an old Oregon State teammate. I moved to Texas, and we worked together making the game safer for our youth. Through this work, we created a new game of Flex Football which has now taken off throughout the country as a non-contact style of play that our children can safely learn the fundamentals of the game. Although football is one of my greatest passions, I felt that I was destined for something more.

With my father being a Chiropractor and my mother a Dental Hygienist, my knowledge of and respect for the body began at a very young age. Through watching my father in his Chiropractic clinic, I loved seeing his ability to help people. The passion he had for healing the body was contagious. Throughout my football career, as you can imagine, injuries occurred. I was able to not only watch my father work, but also be a patient. Seeing what he was able to do with my body, I was blown away.

When you are an athlete, you really learn to listen to your body. I think this is the reason that I appreciated my father’s approach of allowing the body to direct him in how the healing process should occur. When I came across a new technology that allows a practitioner to “communicate” with the body giving insight into its deepest layers, I knew this was something that I had to explore. This connected with me in a way that I hadn’t experienced since my first years playing football. This leads me to where I am today.

I made the decision to pursue a certification as a Bionetic Naturopathic Counselor enabling me to bring Biofeedback Technology into my father’s office. Working together we are now able to gain deeper insight into our patient’s issues along with providing specific treatment protocols based upon what their bodies are communicating to us. I’m excited and honored to follow in the footsteps of my father improving the health of the Pacific Northwest.

  • A true Texas native, I was born and raised in Fort Worth. Growing up in the south, I always admired that “southern charm” and knew I wanted to bring that hospitality into everything that I do.

Starting at the age of 4, I became extremely passionate about dance. I danced mostly jazz, ballet, tap and lyrical, and was a competitive dancer for about 8 years. I then became a dance teacher at the same studio I attended growing up, and as my passion for teaching continued, I branched off into fitness and became a certified barre instructor as well as cycling instructor. Combining all 3 of my teaching positions, I was teaching around 30 classes a week! I absolutely loved working in the health and fitness industry and making a positive influence on my clients, whether it was mental or physical, was truly inspiring.

As much as I was enjoying my teaching career, I knew I still wanted to perform as a dancer. I decided to audition for an NFL team, and who better than the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. In 2017 I made the team and continued to cheer for them for 3 years. This was hands down the most rewarding and memorable experience of my life. I not only was an ambassador for America’s team, but I performed with various artists including Thomas Rhett, Meaghan Trainor, Ellie Goulding, and QUEEN. Not only did I live my dream of becoming a professional dancer, but this experience led me to meet my husband, Slade Norris.

Slade introduced me to the holistic side of healthcare as it was honestly very foreign to me. His dad, Dr. Norris was able to help heal some health issues I had been dealing with for years, including skin problems, Asthma and Allergies. After I went through this process with him, I was completely intrigued by everything Dr. Norris was about. He was so informative, knowledgeable, and passionate about natural and holistic health, and to be frank, it has completely changed my life.

After 31 years of being a Texas resident, I decided to pick up and move to Washington State with Slade, where he then decided to join his Dad’s practice. I knew I wanted to be a part of this clinic and when I was approached with the office manager position, I had zero hesitation. The 3 of us have become the best team and I look forward to continuing to help our clinic grow and make a positive influence on all of our patients. When you come into Norris Healthcare, I will greet you with a smile, answer any questions you have about our treatments, and help you with scheduling. I strive to be the backbone of our clinic delivering you high quality customer service. Not to mention, if you want to talk Dallas Cowboys football, I’m your girl!

I love spending quality time with Slade and our dogs, Emmy and Moose. In my spare time, I enjoy tengaging in fitness classes, painting, and socializing with friends and family.
